of financial need. In the past, there was Department of Defense funding

to support these camps, but now the rest of the funds come entirely

through donations.

“This has been amazing to see the program grow and turn into a very

special event for Ohio’s military families,” Carroll said. “It’s the largest

program that we support, and we do more every year to help it grow.”

The camp is currently capped at around 275 campers. While the camp is

set for staffing purposes, the USO as an organization is always seeking

volunteers and support from the community for its other programs and

projects. This year’s camp adventure will take place the first week of August,

and registration is now open.
